taking over from here =)
kimpab looks like sushi but it's korean snacks.
well this is most probably the simplest way to make kimbap that you can find. you can actually find some other elaborated recipes, more stuff to do like frying up the veges and more fillings. but we're just too lazy so these are just the basic stuff to assemble sth looking like a kimbap. lol
all the ingredients may not sound familiar but if you just look closely, you can have em all from your nearest tesco or giant or whatever.
Ini lah dia kimbap yang dah dipotong- cantik juga rupanya.
Resepi ni ditulis dalam BI sebab dua gadis manis ni yang buat- kalau akak BM aje!Kimbap recipe
Ingredients (for 6 rolls):
- a cup of calrose rice, cooked
- 6 roasted seaweed
- 2 eggs, fried into flat omelet, cut into long strips
- 1/2 carrot, cut into long strips
- 1/2 cucumber, cut into long strips
- 3 beef patties (or chicken or both),cut into long strips
- 5 sausages (or crab filaments), cut into long strips
the quantity may vary depending on your personal preferences, if you want more veges or patties or eggs.
Preparation:
- If you want to have the feels going, you can use the rolling mat but if you do not have it, you just lay one sheet of seaweed on a flat surface.
- Spread some rice into the sheet, not too thick. Leave about one inch on two opposite end. You can pat the rice down by using spoon to avoid getting your fingers all sticky.
- Lay all the fillings on top in one side. Then roll. Press a bit to ensure the fillings stay inside.
- Set aside and continue with other seaweed sheets.
- Cut one roll into 6 to 8 pieces.
p/s: we had some leftover of the fillings so we mixed everything in a bowl with mayo. omnomnom lol
Ini lebihannya - so depa makan lah..
